Обычно мы стремимся отдыхать именно в лес. До конца непонятно, ждет ли он нас, принимает ли и каково его соотношение с общей природой. Части ее в принципе известны, но, может быть, и не только нам одним - мы едем либо на море, либо на речку, либо же на полянку, которая иногда кажется травянистым бором, с проглядывающим из - за низеньких деревьев солнцем, жгучие лучи которого позволят нам хоть немного загореть.
Глава семьи берет машину и едет на ней вместе со всеми нами из центрального города области в городок небольшой, почти ничего не значащий на карте нашей необъятной родины. Назовем его Ч-ск. Население в Ч-ске большим образом немолодое - вся молодежь давным-давно разъехалась, а та ее часть, которая по каким-то причинам задержалась, обычно стремится к чему-то большему, более радостному, успокаивающему и вселяющему хоть какую-то надежду, и бывает в областном центре не реже двух или трех раз в неделю.
У нас в семье сразу несколько маленьких детей, причем все из них мальчики. Говорят, что именно дети способны как нельзя лучше прочувствовать природу, соприкоснуться с ней и, может быть, даже дать ей что-то свое не в плане мусора, а в плане духовного или душевного обогащения. Душа есть у человека, это всем ясно, но есть ли душа у природы и у каких-то из ее частей? Это довольно сложный вопрос, ответ на который так сразу и не найдется. Ване десятый год, и мы ездили с ним на эту любимую полянку начиная уже с того момента, как ему исполнилось полгода. Еще не умевший говорить и даже выражать то, что он хочет, жестами, он лежал и в машине вместе с мамой, и под высоким деревом, и уже был виден блеск в его глазах.
Редко какие выходные мы проводили дома. Года за годами шли небольшими темпами, и вот Ванюше уже исполнилось три года. Ничего криминального, но и ничего знаменательного тоже в этом не было. Дед Алексей отдал свою старую полуразвалившуюся машину внуку, а сам при этом никак не мог смириться с тем, что нужно сидеть дома. Его буквально тянуло в лес, и, откопав в полутемном гараже старый и замызганный велосипед, он поехал следом за нами. Другого варианта и не было - так как все места были заняты - на разных сиденьях сидели родители (впереди), бабушка, Ванюша на руках у тети, сама она рядом со мной - и, наконец-то, и я сам.
Кроны деревьев блестели на солнце и настраивали своим благородным видом на довольно-таки благоприятный для отдыха день. Они задевали стекла нашего автомобиля, какие-то из них пришлось закрыть, через другие ветер, наоборот, прорывался к нам и обдавал свежестью. Вот наконец открылась нашему взору и сама полянка. Мы думали, что на ней все по-прежнему, ах нет, мы ошиблись. Кто-то побывал и поорудовал на ней уже и до нас. Как бы это ни было печально, но фон зеленой травки прорезали валяющиеся повсюду бутылки, всего их было около четырех, и две из них были разбиты напополам и раскиданы по разным углам поляны. Неожиданно Ваня заплакал, и бабушке пришлось его успокаивать.
Набрали по сотовому деда Алексея, но он не отвечал - наверняка крутил педали и спешил именно к нам. Не останавливаться же среди оживленной трасы и не отвечать на звонок. Хотя, конечно, понятно, что его надо было бы для этого услышать, что тоже было не совсем просто в таких условиях.
Первым вышел отец. Открыв багажник, и довольно быстро обнаружив внутри перчатки, он пошел по поляне собирать осколки и еще целые бутылки. Куда их нужно было девать дальше, было не совсем понятным. Радио в машине было выключено, и Ваня как-то быстро закрыл глаза, а уже через несколько минут и заснул.
Солнце, только недавно озарявшее небосвод и всю растительность вокруг, совсем некстати стало исчезать - ему на смену приходили облака, причем такого странного цвета - это было видно и мне из автомобиля, - что казались немного зловещими. Темнело не постепенно, а как-то сразу - из леса вернулся отец, отнесший и выкинувший где-то подальше от нас бутылки, а бабушка и тетя молчали. Обычно они были довольно разговорчивыми, слова нельзя было вставить - и сегодня утром при сборах в квартире, и вообще в этих наших нескончаемых и практически никакими природными катаклизмами не прерываемых поездками. Казалось, что сама природа собиралась плакать, только не было до конца понятно, по каким именно событиям. Мы и сами не заметили, как все стекла были покрыты дождинками, и дождь тарабанил по нашей крыше. Постепенно он усиливался и переходил в ливень. Бабушка кинулась набирать все тот же незатейливый номер и, наконец, Алексей ответил. Оказалось, что он никуда и не выезжал, а остался дома, так как чувствовал себя не очень хорошо. Хотел позвонить нам, но вскоре тоже заснул. И только в тот момент, когда его набирали, и проснулся.
И, что было самым удивительным, это произошло именно в тот момент времени, когда в городе еще было солнечно. Для Алексея отдых на лоне природы значил намного больше, чем для нас, и мало того, что он сам показал нам именно это место для отдыха и приучил ездить именно туда, он и еще до знакомства с нами приезжал сюда на протяжении сорока лет! Просто он не был нашим родным дедом, а был другом бабушки. Конкретного названия у этого места тоже не было - мы называли его просто «полянка». Бабушка только начала осваивать сотовый телефон, но все же при окончании разговора убрала его обратно. Он был подарен ей на осенний день рождения еще в прошлом году, а сейчас на дворе был июль.
Все, у кого были машины и возможность не находиться дома, конечно же, стремились на заливы и на речки, а мы приехали именно в лес. Вскоре дождь прекратился, Ваня проснулся, и все завертелось по новой. Вскоре сварили обед, разделись, и я поехал на залив, который находился с обратной стороны полянки. Дед Алексей доехал до полянки за десять минут. Ванины волосы серебрились на солнце, и он сам спешил к машине - открывал ее дверцы, играл, но потом отец закрыл машину, поставив на сигнализацию, и весь его азарт в одну минуту пропал. Потом мы еще не раз приезжали на полянку и никаких свидетельств пребывания посторонних людей так и не заметили. Наверняка они нашли для себя более удобное место и больше не тревожили это. А может быть, и просто «кинулись» к тому, которое находилось просто ближе.
Лес, в котором только изредка появлялся кто-то помимо нас, по сути был нашим. Именно благодаря ему, хотя и отчасти, вырос Ванюша. Причем не просто вырос, а достаточно быстро повзрослел. И уже сам спрашивал у нас: «Когда же мы туда поедем?». Из-за этого там приходилось расходовать много бензина и опять-таки ехать в область.
Один мой знакомый из большого города рассказал мне, что ездит в Ч-ск. Куда именно, я не уточнял, но понял только одно - что он делает это со своим папой и именно в теплое время года. Зимой не подашься никуда, так уж повелось.
